Rosie Clarke recorded a new PB in the mile race with a time of 4:31.75 which was good enough to finish 4th.
In the 5000m Marc Scott managed 5th with a time of 13:54.25. A SB for Adam Bitchell in the 3000m in 8:02.72 and a clearance of 5.50m for Jax Thoirs in the pole vault.
With a distance of 16.53m, Ben Williams finished 3rd in the men’s triple jump.
English Schools Cross Country Championships, Witton Park, Blackburn, UK 14 March 2015
In the senior boys race Mohammed Mohammed continued impressive form to win at Witton ahead of Oliver Fox and Sam Dickinson in 2nd and 3rd.
Zakariya Mohammed took victory in the junior boys title and Ben Dijkstra won the intermediate boys race.
The senior girl’s race was taken by Abbie Donnely ahead of Gemma Holloway. The junior girls race was won by Kathleen Faes and the intermediate race was taken by Sabrina Sinha.

In the women’s race Steph Twell came in second behind Birtukan Fentealemui of Ethiopia, in the men’s race the highest placed Britons were Andy Maud and Dean Lacy.
In the junior event Jonathon Davies was the winner ahead of the U20 champion Joe Steward. Rebecca Murray was the winner of the junior girls race, beating Jenny Nesbitt and Elizabeth Mooney.

Claire Martin managed a tight victory to edge the title away from Helen Berry to take the V35 win. Andy Whitwam won the men’s race with a 10 second gap ahead of 2nd place.
European Cup Winter Throw, Leiria, Portugal 14-15 March 2015
Starting off his 2015 season with a PB was Taylor Campbell in the men’s U23 hammer throw with a distance of 67.28m, finishing 7th overall.
Chris Bennett and Mark Dry were in action in the men’s hammer, Bennett coming 8th with a throw of 70.65m and Dry managing 12th with a distance of 69.25m.
Zane Duquemin competed in both the men’s discus and shot put, with a distance of 58.53 in the discus and 17.50m in the shot put. Rachel Hunter came 10th in the women’s U23 hammer by managing 58.37m and Gregory Thompson finished 9th in the men’s event with 53.63m.
England Athletics U15/U17 Combined Events Championships, EIS, Sheffield, UK 14-15 March 2015
In the U17 women’s pentathlon Ada’Ora Chigbo was the winner, scoring 3751 which broke the championship record. In the men’s heptathlon, Sam Talbot also set a new championship record accumulating 4939 points.
In the U15 events Joel McFarlane and Sophie Meredith were the champions.
Silverstone Half Marathon, Silverstone, UK 15 March 2015
David Weir was the victor in his fourth Silverstone title on the bounce in a time of 46.23, Rob Smith was second. Jade Jones won the women’s event for her second title in a row.
Lungano Trophy, Switzerland 15 March 2015
Tom Bosworth managed 4th in the 20km walk in a time of 1:22.33, just missing out on the British record but achieved World Championship qualifying standard.
In the U20 women’s race Emma Achurch was second in a time of 47:49.
