On 26th January 2023, Linford Christie OBE, was the special guest at The World School Games in Dubai. Joined by host Chris McHardy of Dubai Eye 103.8, the pair provided an exclusive Q&A for the young athletes participating in the event.
Christie relived his famous Olympic gold medal success from Barcelona 1992, before answering a collection of questions from McHardy about his upbringing, formula for success and his advice for the next generation of athletes.
The Olympic champion then spent time answering questions from the young athletes, before posing for photographs and signing autographs.
The World School Games is a multisport event, taking place over three days in Dubai. It consists of athletics, swimming and football. It is the flagship event of The WSG Event Series, which also includes global school sporting events in Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, London and Loughborough.
