City of York AC’s Thomas Somers smashed his own British U20 indoor 300m record at the EIS, Sheffield with a 33.44 clocking beating 400mH specialist Richard Yates (City of Sheffield AC) in the process. His previous best of 33.73.
Seren Bundy-Davies (Trafford AC) also had a record breaking performance, lowering her own Welsh 600m record from 1:29.82 to 1:28.11.

Patrick Makau won in 2:08:22, almost five minutes slower than his former world record and personal best of 2:03:38 which he set in the 2011 Berlin Marathon.
