Vinco we are pleased to announce that we will be providing both live and on demand coverage of the European Cup Winter Throwing competition in Leiria, Portugal for the second consequetive year.
The event is designed for athletes specialising in discus, javelin, hammer throwing and shot put and is designed to counterbalance the lack of provision for long throwing events during the indoor season.
It attracts some of the best European talent with some impressive championship best performances, including a male discus throw record of 69.70m by Estonian Gerd Kanter and a women’s hammer throw record of 75.07m by Poland’s Antia Wlodarczyk.
The competition will take place at the magnificent Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa over two days on 14-15 March 2015 following the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Prague.
Vinco’s broadcast will be free to view to any member of vincosport.com, with each throw of the event being streamed live with footage being made available shortly after the event via our on demand service.
