Yesterday Usain Bolt proved he is a man of many talents at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium located in Bangalore, India, at a special 7-aside cricket match organised by his sponsor Puma.
The sprint star smashed five sixes, including two which were successive, against team Yuvraj Singh.
The match, which had four overs for each team, was won by Team Bolt after an exciting last-ball victory which impressed the crowd of over 6000 fans. Bolt remained unbeaten on 45 off 19 balls in the four overs per side challenge.
Both Bolt and Yuvraj Singh opened up bowling as well as batting for their teams respectively during the wet evening at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. After the match, Yuvraj Singh said that he thought the Umpire was Jamaican.
The match concluded with a 100m sprint race with Bolt and some of the cricketers. Yuvraj Singh tweeted ‘The moment which u can only dream of. The only man to beat @usainbolt in 100 meter race. Thanks Bolt for letting me win.’
The sprinter definitely seemed to enjoy experiencing other aspects of the Indian culture during his first visit to the country, posting Instagram pictures wearing traditional Indian attire and creating the new hashtag on social media networks: ‘BoltIndia’. As another part of his world tour, Bolt has arrived in Doha this morning. Can we expect any more new sporting victories from the sprint king?
