Olympic Talent on Show at Loughborough EAP Meeting

On Tuesday 23rd July Loughborough University welcome Team GB’s Golden Girl Jessica Ennis-Hill as she aims to compete in the Loughborough European Athletics Permit Meeting. The meeting is to be held at the University ‘s Paula Radcliffe Stadium, with the first event commencing at 4pm with a packed programme of events until 8pm.  

Ennis-Hill aims to compete in two or three events during the evening, this is an opportunity not to be missed to see the Olympic Hepathlon Champion compete in one of her first events since her glory at London 2012.

Leon Baptiste, reigning Commonwealth 200m and 4x100m champion, will return to action and fellow Olympian Emily Diamond will be competing. Max Eaves, the 2010 Commonwealth Games pole vault bronze medalist and bronze medalist in the 2013 Sainsbury’s British Championships, GB Bobsleigh ‘s Joel Fearon and two Australian sprinters are lined up to compete as well as numerous other international and European names, with more still to be confirmed.

The event falls only two weeks before the IAAF World Championships in Moscow and a few days before the Sainsbury ‘s Anniversary Games. Many international names are showing considerable interest in competing at Loughborough in preparation for these Anniversary Games in London and it is surely an event not to be missed!

N.B. Ennis-Hill is currently returning from injury and appearances can never be guaranteed, however the Loughborough EAP event is a key date in her calendar in the build-up to the World Championships.
