Loughborough International coming your way on 20th May

| |

Following a spectacular Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games the Loughborough International Athletics (LIA) meeting is the next major event on the athletics calendar, returning to campus on Sunday 20th May and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

With Loughborough’s track and field stars picking up no fewer than nine medals ‘down under’, the #LIA2018 will welcome some of those stars to the annual international fixture at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium.

Leading the way on Australia’s Gold Coast were gold medallists Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Hollie Arnold, Olivia Breen and Sophie Hahn, all of who competed in the 2017 edition of the LIA. In fact Hahn memorably broke the T38 100m world record on a beautiful May afternoon.

New for 2018 is a big screen that will bring the event to life, with live results and action replays of all the best bits. As always our partners Vinco will also be producing a live stream service, with videos of every event available on demand once the day is over.

2018 will also see the inclusion of an event village, which will house an array of cuisines and a licensed bar, a spectator zone and roaming cameras that will be interacting with fans throughout the day.

Advanced tickets will be priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions (including students) and free for under 12s. Tickets are on sale at www.loughboroughsport.com/lia2018
