FASTEST EVER HALF MARATHON ON AMERICAN SOIL
24-year-old Kenyan Brigid Kosgei ran a 1:05.50 half marathon – the fastest ever on American soil on Sunday. She won the Chicago Marathon last year and was second in London. Read the article on the IAAF site.

NI CROSS COUNTRY WINS FOR YOUNG PAIR
A 19-year-old and 22-year-old took wins at the IAAF Northern Ireland Cross Country International. Ethiopia’s Meskerem Mamo and Bahrain’s Birhanu Balew came first in the women’s and men’s races respectively. GB’s Emily Hosker-Thornhill was fifth, Ireland’s Fionnuala McCormack sixth and Kate Avery seventh. Full BBC Northern Ireland report here.

Former European Youth Champion Isabelle Boffey, who has won four national age group indoor titles in a row, took the Southern indoor title in 2:05.18. BRITISH OFFICIALS DISAPPOINTED BY WADA’S HANDLING OF RUSSIA
UK anti-doping chiefs have called for change in order to rebuild trust in the World Anti-Doping Agency. They want a review of its handling of the Russia, but also praise WADA for managing to enter Russia’s Moscow testing laboratory. More from BBC Sport.
STEFANIDI WANTS EURO INDOOR DOUBLE
After successfully defending her European Outdoor crown in Berlin last summer, Greek pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi wants to add a second European Indoor title to her collection, following up the gold medal she took home from Belgrade. BUTCHART PREPARING FOR LONG-AWAITED COMEBACK
Andrew Butchart is preparing to return to the track, nearly a year after breaking his foot, which ruled him out of last season’s major competitions. The 27-year-old Scot says he has noticed a change in his stride since returning to fitness. He’s been speaking to Athletics Weekly.
