International field to compete at annual Loughborough European Athletics Permit meet

On Saturday 19th July international athletes from across the world will compete at the annual Loughborough European Athletics Permit meet (LEAP).

 

The event, being held at Loughborough University, will be for some of the athletes their final competition on the track and in the field before the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, commencing less than a week after the event.

 

This year LEAP will see a number of athletes from the Australian Commonwealth Games team, World and Paralympic Champion Jason Symth, and a 4x100m relay which will see a number of international squads.

 

Other athletes competing include sub 10 second 100m sprinter Kemar Hyman of the Cayman Islands, Tawana Meadows who was part of the USA 2014 World Relays gold medal winning team, and Melissa Breen the Australian 100m national record holder.

 

Also attending are a number of GB international athletes, including Richard Buck and Daniel Awde.
