Statistics are now out for the 2015 European Volunteering Challenge, and Great Britain and NI have topped the charts with a fantastic 5762 volunteer hours recorded in the past 12 months.
Spain took 2nd place and Germany 3rd, although Norway, Slovenia, and Serbia are still ahead on cumulative hours since the Challenge began. In terms of all-time recorded hours, our very own Youth Advisory Group European Rep Lijana Kaziow moved up to second, just 34 hours short of Norway’s Petter Wessel, and the UK Youth Advisory Group chairman Jacob Hood placed in 5th.
Recorded Volunteer Hours for the European Challenge totalled:
- 15435 hours this year
- 42.3 hours volunteered per day
The challenge continues in 2016, there is no age limit, so you can sign up no matter how old or young you are!
Officials – why not enter your hours officiating for any matches which include athletes aged under 30?
Coaches – record and keep track of how many hours you put into your club with younger athletes.
Other Volunteers – hours at the club, cross country or road races, or even that local project you have started?
If you need help or advice logging the hours contact Youth Advisory Group European Rep Lijana Kaziow [email protected]
