England Athletics and British Athletics have today confirmed the following road race championship events for 2016.
The British and English Road Running Championships will kick off at the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 24 with the 26.2 mile event being the championships for both titles. Simultaneously, the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon will provide Young Athletes with a chance of taking the three mile British junior titles.
In May, the Westminster Miles and London 10,000m will once again be the events to decide who will become the British champions over the respective distances. Jo Pavey (coach: Gavin Pavey, club: Exeter) and Andy Vernon (Coach: Nic Bideau, club: Aldershot Farnham & District) sealed the 2015 British 10km titles in the capital so who will be challenging for the victory in 2016?
Nottingham will be the location of the British Half Marathon Championship with the Robin Hood Half Marathon combining the British and English titles for the first time in a number of years.
