The 12th Annual Ed Prickett Memorial Road Relays to be held in Nottingham on Saturday 5th March 2015 will be raising funds for the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund (RPMF) which supports talented young British athletes and help them make the transition from junior to senior level.
The long-running Nottingham relays were re-named in memory of Ed Prickett, a valued member of the University of Nottingham Athletics Club, after he was tragically killed in a road traffic accident whilst at the British Universities Track Championships.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund, a charity that supports young athletes and that Ed benefited from. The RPMF has raised and awarded over £1.5 million in small but significant grants to several thousand talented young British athletes.
The relays are a 2 mile course around the beautiful University Park campus in Nottingham, with teams of 4 for the men and 3 for the women, and provides good competition for all abilities. There will be prizes for the fastest teams, and fastest individuals. There will also be a photographer to capture the day.
