Whether you are an athlete, coach, athlete, official, parent, club volunteer, event organiser or have any other role in the sport we need to know your views as part of our 2016 consultation. Here’s how you can get involved.

As published in early March we are holding specific events at various locations across the country for people to attend, we will attend a number of other events on the athletics calendar to enable to give people at those their views and also holding an online survey. On 2 April we were at the County Officials’ Secretaries event to get their views and insights. Details of future events are as follows.

As a result of our online poll, a further consultation will now take place in Crawley later in the summer. Details will be announced in due course.

To register please email [email protected] stating your name, club, and the event you plan to attend. This will enable us to send you relevant materials, including any details about arrangements for the evening, in advance. If you plan to attend one of the athletics meetings that we will be attending registration is not required but will enable us to send you any consultation materials.

The key topics

As we enter into a critical period for the sport, we want to hear your views on how England Athletics can meet its strategic priorities over the next four years, as well as on issues such as how we can better engage youngsters and innovate around competition. (To find out more about our Strategic Priorities please download this Document)

We also want to hear your views on how London 2017 can be used to champion grassroots track and field and inspire more people to participate in athletics and running.

As ever, England Athletics staff, board members and councillors will be attending the meetings, so this is an excellent opportunity to have your voice heard on issues affecting both the present and the future, as well as find out more about current challenges and opportunities and the actions that have been carried out as a result of previous consultation exercises. These events are your chance to tell us what is on your minds and to debate issues in an open forum.

More information on the series will be announced shortly. Please see www.englandathletics.org/consultation-2016.
