Vinco’s ‘Athlete of the Week’ #VSAotW is awarded by the public to those athletes who have done something that little bit special on the track or in the field, during the last 7 days. Following the English Schools and some fantastic competitions abroad, the three athletes below have had weeks to remember.

Deji Tobais – The Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow athlete had a superb weekend with two victories in the 100m and 200m at the KBC Night of Athletics in Heusden, Belgium. His 100m with a wind assisted pb of 10.21, before he ran a 20.61 200m PB, the 5th fastest time in the UK this year, taking over half a second off of his previous best.

Owin Sinclair – The fastest 14 year old ever in the UK after his English Schools CBP of 10.92 this weekend.  The talent is huge and the Charnwood athlete even claimed on Sky Sports that he was not in his best form.  He also ran a superb last leg of the 4x100m to get Leicestershire a bronze medal. One to watch for the future.

Marilyn Okoro – After failing to make the top two at the Olympic trials Okoro returned to action this week with a point to prove, and she did it in style. On Thursday she broke the British 600m record in Belgium, running a time of 1.24.36, before running a seasons best in the 400m of 52.67 at the KBC Night of Athletics.

To decide who wins, please cast your vote below. Voting closes on 13/07/12 at which point we ‘ll start work on an article centred on the victor.
