According to a report from FloTrack, the current world champion over 1500m Asbel Kiprop has been involved in a near fatal car accident whilst driving in Kenya.

Kirprop is said to have been driving with James Kangogo when he lost control round a sharp turn about four kilometres out of Rift Valley town Kabarnet.

The crashed car was just a mere metre away from rolling down a cliff edge but remained suspended by a rock that was lodged beneath the car preventing it from moving any further.

Fortunately the passengers escaped major injury, and Kiprop has now been discharged. For the full story, please visit FloTrack ‘s article here.
