It has been a remarkable year for the athletics family in Scotland.
From the Glasgow International back in January to the Euro Cross in Bulgaria a fortnight ago, there have been stories and pictures to grab the attention.
At scottishathletics we:ve done our absolute utmost to capture those moments on this website and across our social media channels – and we appreciate your support throughout the year.
National Championships have been at the centre of our focus as well as performances by elite athletes, at home and abroad. And, of course, major events like the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships have commanded headlines for us as well trying to keep track across the full spectrum of the sport.
So, as a truly memorable year draws towards a close, we:ve put together a special video package of the highlights in pictures to help jog the memories. We’re calling it ‘An Extraordinary Year’.
We haven:t been able to cover absolutely everything, of course, but we think the selection of pictures does capture much of the action in athletics in Scotland these past 12 months.
