Nafi Thiam claimed 852 points in the 800m to ensure she won gold in the women’s heptathlon at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich.
The gold meant she won her second set of major titles and defend the European gold she won in Berlin 2018.
Those European golds add to her Olympic titles in 2016 and 2020, as well as her World titles in 2017 and earlier this year in Eugene.
Watch the seventh and final event – the 800m – in full, a race which saw Poland’s Adrianna Sulek win in a time of 2:09.49 to gain 972 points and leapfrog Annik Kalin to take silver by just 17 points!
