Mykolas Alekna joins an illustrious group of athletes who have won the Golden Tracks men’s Rising Star award.
The Lithuanian discus thrower won his first senior title in 2022, winning gold at the European Championship in Munich.
He is following in the footsteps of his father Virgilijus Alekna, who was the men’s Athlete of the Year in 2005. We sure hope to see Mykolas at future Golden Tracks ceremonies.
