Day Three Highlights - European Athletics Championships - Munich 2022

The action continued in Munich on day three of the European Athletics Championships with medals being won and records broken.

A new women’s pole vault champion was crowned after an incredible performance from Wilma Murto. The Finnish star broke the national record three times to secure gold. 400m superstar Femke Bol was dominant in winning gold. Spain won gold in the men’s 110m hurdles thanks to Asier Martinez. There were hammer throw celebrations for Romania, following a successful showing from Bianca Ghelber, winning her first senior title. Great Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith cruised to victory in the men’s 400m final. And in the men’s triple jump, Portugal’s Pedro Pichardo was impervious on course to becoming champion.
