Heading into the European Athletics Championships in 2014, Polish hammer-throwing superstar Anita Wlodarczyk was the defending champion.
In Zurich, she battled it out with Europe’s best hammer athletes to regain her title. Not only did she win gold, but she set a new Championship Record – throwing a sensational 78.76m.
Since 2014 Wlodarczyk has gone on to win European gold in 2016 and 2018. Will she make it five in a row at Munich 2022?
