Kim Gevaert had a European Athletics Championships to remember in 2006, as she won not one, but two gold medals.
In Gothenburg, the Belgian sprinter competed in the women’s 100m and 200m events. The same events where she won silver medals at the previous European Championships from Munich in 2002.
Gevaert proved that she was the fastest woman in Europe – but also showed that she had the heart of a champion.
