One of the most decorated racewalking athletes of all time, Robert Korzeniowski was a force to be reckoned with whenever he entered a competition.
The Polish athlete is a four-time Olympic and three-time World Champion. He also impressively won back-to-back European Championship titles in the 50k racewalk in 1998 and 2002.
Korzeniowski entered the 2002 European Championships from Munich as a much-fancied favourite – and he did not disappoint.
