Reports to: Operations Manager and Managing Director
Location: Manchester Based but work from home initially with opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.
Pay: Competitive hourly or event-based day rate depending on the event.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and talented video editor to join our team and work on live events in the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will have experience with live editing, working with short deadlines, and using SRT signals to record footage and RTMP signals to send a live stream out on social media.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating 3 10-second 16:9 and 9:16 videos and a 3-minute 16:9 video for each meeting using Final Cut Pro. You will also be responsible for creating individual videos for each athletics event used in the 3 minute meeting video and event highlights for each track event. While experience with Final Cut Pro is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who has experience with other video editing software.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective video specifications is a plus.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing principles and a creative eye for storytelling. They should be able to work independently and take direction well, as well as being able to problem-solve and think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.
